So, last week I looked at the difficulty of diagnosing Lupus and the emotional and psychological impact of the disease.

This week I’m looking at the fightback. We’ve done a few rounds with the disease and it’s knocked us out. We are on the floor and the countdown has started: 10, 9, 8, 7… How do Lupus sufferers hit back against this cruel brute? Well, first we get have to get up and for that we need help and support.

Ding ding! Round 1: Keeping positive

This can be a challenge, especially as one of the major symptoms of Lupus is depression. Support from family and friends is vital as well as being able to share what you are going through with those who understand exactly what you are going through.
