Mango poem.

I revisited this poem recently performing at a poetry night in Earlsfield. It’s a good one to end on!

On a recent trip to south-east asia they, mangoes were in plentiful supply in addition to the many Buddhas I came across….

CAM_BUD crop

Don’t hold the mango back

Don’t hold the mango back!
Set the mango free ……. in your fruit juice
Its benefits are well-known
To take you to the tropical zone

Don’t hold the mango back!
Let the mango go free …… in your fruit salad
Buddha sat under a mango tree
He knew the mango must be free

Don’t hold the mango back!
Set the mango free ……in your smoothie
Sunshine yellow flesh caress
Sweet juices over coconut ice cream

Don’t hold the mango back!
Set the mango free …… in your chutney
Enlightened, sun ripened
Sweet or Savoury?
Solo or blended
It’s well recommended.

Don’t hold the mango back!
Set the mango free.
